Azheimer’s Association of NorCal Goes All-In To End Alzheimer’s with a Virtual Poker Night Fundraising Event
We’re thrilled to share the success of a recent Virtual Poker Night fundraiser benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association of Northern California and Nevada through its Longest Day program.
The event was spearheaded by TikTok content creator Dan Sallinger (@dsalnorcal), who is widely known for sharing heartfelt stories about caring for his father, Ed, who lives with Alzheimer’s disease. Dan helped rally a passionate community of supporters to donate play, and make a difference.
The night was full of energy and surprise guests including John Sparrow, drummer of the iconic band Violent Femmes, who joined the tables to help raise funds and awareness. The first-place winner even walked away with a signed snare drum from John as a grand prize!
Thanks to the generosity of participants and donors, the event raised critical funds (with a more than 4:1 ROI) to advance Alzheimer’s research and provide resources for families affected by the disease.
ALZ Norcal plans to host four virtual poker night fundraisers annually to help maximize their fundraising while creating a recurring fun donor experience each quarter!
